Software Developer |
| Description: |
The Software Developer will be responsible for the development and support of client-specific software applications. The individual will create and/or maintain software modules, scripts, stored procedures, macros, and other software components as directed by project leadership. All work products shall be fully tested and operational, and integrated with other software components that constitute the complete application.
The Software Developer shall possess excellent written communication skills, and is expected to produce technical documentation as appropriate for each assigned project. Additionally, the individual shall possess excellent verbal and interpersonal skills that facilitate the exchange of information between team members and client personnel. It is desirable that the individual possess proficiencies in math, science or applied business skills, and can work with team and client personnel in defining application requirements.
The Software Developer is expected to be a task-oriented individual who excels in a team environment, pays close attention to the details of their work, be focused and organized, and committed to achieving project goals.

| Skills: |
The Software Developer must be proficient developing applications using the Visual Studio .Net Integrated Development Environment (IDE). The individual must have professional experience developing software in VB.Net, Windows Forms, C#, and ADO.Net. The individual must be proficient in building object oriented software modules within the .Net framework. Also, experience developing software in Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) is required (i.e. use of VBA within MS-Access, Word or Excel). The individual must have general knowledge of SQL embedded within an application that accesses a relational database.
Skills in other technologies such as unit testing, ASP.Net (Web Forms and Web Services), HTML/DHTML, JavaScript, XML, SQL/stored procedures (for SQL Server 2000 and/or Oracle), SQL for MS-Access, or SQL for My-SQL is desirable.

| Experience: |
The Software Developer should have 3 – 7 years of professional experience in the software development field, during which time they utilized the required skills as specified. |
| Education: |
BA/BS Computer Sciences (or similar) is required from an accredited institution. Technical certifications in specified technologies are desirable. |
