Discovery
Phase
A collaborative effort between the client team and Chartwell IT consultants focusing on the people who will use the system, the business processes that impact functionality and the information handled by the system.  The deliverables for this phase include a written description of these focal points, in the form of high-level specifications.

Technology Assessment Phase An assessment of the client's current technology situation combined with the capabilities of applicable technologies available on the market, all in the context of the information obtained in the discovery phase.

Solution Plan Phase A combination of the prior two phases that produces recommendations as to how the client can accomplish their business goals.  The deliverable is in the form of a Solution Plan document.  It describes each major element of the project in sufficient detail to allow management to decide on the correct approach, providing clarity to the proposed solution.
